How can you be in two places at once, when you’re not anywhere at all…
Monday, June 22nd, 2009I don’t know to how to start…I sort of have mixed feelings. I have been here for 5 years, been to India twice since then and my last visit was in Jan 2007. So it has been 2 years in since I have been ‘home’. I dont know how intensely I miss India. Growing up as a girl in India,one thing that I liked about this adopted country of mine was that I would not be objectified by the stranger men on the road and in the crowd; men who dont even know my name but think they can pass lewd comments about me . Do I feel more secure in this country then? I dont know.Because the truth is I don’t belong here. Then what am I doing here? Trust me I dont know that either. One thing I know for sure is that I am Dsplaced (displaced).
